Bridget has always had an eye for the arts in everyday life, constantly seeking fun adventures and sights to see. Whether it be exploring new cities and national parks or experimenting with new crafts and art mediums at home, she is always eager to expand her portfolio of interests. After graduating with degrees in public relations and studio art, she decided to further her education at Indiana University with a Master’s in Arts Administration. Bridget has a passion for aiding small businesses, arts organizations, and nonprofits further their reach within their communities. She finds joy in bringing together her love for marketing and the arts to envision creative outlooks for businesses to succeed. In her free time, Bridget enjoys hiking with her husband and dog, eating good food, and spending time with family at the lake. She finds the adventure and artistry in whatever she does and wherever she goes.

I have been involved with The Refuge on many different levels from the very beginning. When the founding director moved to Florida, I had the honor and privilege of stepping in and leading the staff and volunteers to serve our community. We are all called to serve and help our neighbors, but it is an honor to be part of a community that cares deeply and loves intently. Many do not realize the needs that exist in our community – so awareness is key. But once you are aware of a need – you HAVE to respond. Especially for Christians – we are called to love. I am married and have six beautiful daughters and six amazing grandchildren. I love being a mamaw. I take my role in their lives seriously. Whether we are making cookies, working outside, or cuddling on the couch – it’s amazing. My husband and I continue to look for ways to love our family well. What do I want the most from The Refuge? I would love for our community to be aware of the needs and to come alongside us (or any other organization) and partner with us to help those around us. We ultimately want to serve our community the best way possible with the means that God provides through individuals, churches, and businesses. Whether it’s your time, your talent, or your treasures – the whole community needs you.

Today’s Everyday Business Leader is Dr. Dee Bonney

 

Dr. Dee Bonney has been married to his wife, Megan for 8 years, and he is Dad to five boys. He obtained his bachelors of biology from Indiana University and then obtained his medical degree from Indiana University. He completed his residency in pediatric and emergency medicine.  Three years ago Dee left full-time emergency medicine to grow their medical office, AlphaOmega Wellness, located in Greenwood, IN. This is a faith-based functional medicine practice, meaning that they seek to get to the underlying cause of patients' symptoms rather than just prescribe medicine to mask symptoms. Dee focuses on optimizing his patients' function by looking at all the areas that impact health – nutrition, body movement, sleep, relationship health, and spiritual wellness.  Dee also operates a mastermind in which he works with Christian entrepreneurs to focus on elevating all areas of their lives, including improving business acumen, personal development, and accelerating spiritual growth. He also leads a men's Bible study on Saturday morning at his office.

Today’s Everyday Business Leader is Shauna Snyder.

Shauna was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana in 1974, and still resides there to this day. She is a Hoosier through and through, although she and her husband love to travel as often as possible. Her dream was always to be an optometrist; however, she chose not to attend college in her hometown and instead went to work. Shauna has worked in the fields of law, insurance, and real estate. Real estate has been a passion shared by her and her brother and became a family career path for many years. The family all worked together for five years in real estate, renovation, and design in the San Francisco Bay Area. Shauna then went on to work as a Sales Manager for Weichert Realtors, where she found her love for coaching, and training, and was first introduced to leadership, but Covid 2020 took her in a different direction. She currently works as a VP of Business Development for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Indiana Realty coaching and training Realtors statewide and serving on the leadership team. She has become passionate about growth, and learning, and making a difference in this world. Coaching, training, and motivating others on their journey is something that drives Shauna. Her greatest desire in life is to help others overcome pain, and those things holding them back, and to find joy to live their best life. Shauna is a certified Maxwell Team Member and DISC Consultant. She is married to her husband, Chad, has two step-children, Cale and Alexa, and is GIGI to Emerson.
