Father's Day is a time to celebrate all of our male role models.  Todays EveryDay Leader™ celebrates how, my step father, has intentionally STEPPED UP and added value to others by living his life with consistency and purpose.  Step Parents have a very important role in our society.  Jerry Brown has led his life to create a safe, consistent environment and one that has been dedicated to adding value to others around him.  Listen in and learn how this EveryDay Leader has influenced his own community to build a legacy for community near and dear to his heart.

Steve Gielda is the principal partner at Ignite Selling, Inc. and co-author of Premeditated Selling: Tools for Developing the Right Strategy for Every Opportunity. Steve has spent more than 20 years helping Fortune 1000 companies in the healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, and IT industries to improve their sales performance. His ability to help his clients improve business metrics and drive better business results is what sets him apart with his clients. Steve began his career in sales with Lanier Worldwide, a document management solutions company, eventually becoming a regional manager.

Steve lives in northern Virginia with his wife Sherry and their three dogs. Their only child, Kayla is married and living in Austin, TX with her husband Bruno. Steve and Sherry are avid NFL fans and are season ticket holders for the Washington Redskins. In his free time, Steve enjoys cooking, playing guitar with his band mates in Grace thru Faith, and visiting wineries with his wife.

EP19 EVERYDAY LEADERS™ 50in50 Chris Arbuckle

Ladies and Gentleman, START YOUR ENGINES: Today's EveryDay Leader™ 50in50 was born to WIN. Sports Car Racing is literally in his blood. Not only is he a racer, he is a leader in life, family and a lifetime mentor and friend to everyone he meets. It is an honor to have Chris Arbuckle as my guest today.

 

Chris Arbuckle was raised on the Northeast side of Indianapolis and some of Chris' earliest memories are listening to the Indianapolis 500 on the radio during Memorial Day weekend picnics in his neighbor’s back yard.

Like many in Indy, Chris grew up a bonafide “Car Guy”. Family friends introduced his Dad to Sports Car racing and Chris was bitten by the racing bug very early on. His Dad, Gordon, recognized the dedication and passion required to succeed in racing at any level would translate well to success in everyday life. Chris was fortunate to have a family that encouraged and supported his racing efforts and still competes on a regular basis in Amateur Sports Car events throughout the country.

Chris has found that the team element required in racing does indeed translate well into the business world. Since 1999, he has built a successful career in the Medical Capital Equipment arena. Starting as a Sales Representative in the very competitive gastroenterology equipment space, he now serves as the Area Director of Sales for the Central part of the US for Fujifilm’s Endoscopy Division. He has learned that Leadership has its challenges, but just as in his racing endeavors, he understands that preparation and commitment to his team are the keys to winning on a consistent basis.

He is passionate about colon cancer screening and wakes up every day knowing that the instruments he represents and the team he leads are assisting Physicians and caregivers across the Midwest in battling this preventable disease.

EP17 EVERYDAY LEADERS™ 50in50 Joyce Brown My Mom_ Mothers Day Special Edition

This Mother's Day, I'm celebrating my mom in a special way this year. She joined me as my guest on EveryDay Leaders™ 50in50 to teach us about how she has overcome everyday obstacles through great loss in her life. We all have someone, maybe our mother or maybe someone else, who has influenced us to shape our value systems in the world. This is one of my greatest influencers and I'm so proud to be her daughter! Thanks Mom for teaching me how to remain strong and steadfast in difficult times! Life has been amazing learning from you! Thank you for being an EveryDay Leader in Life! Happy Mother's Day!
